He specializes in interactive device design and interactive art creation using electronic materials and computer technology, and is dedicated to teaching the application of interactive technology. Chiang Chen-Wei’s core philosophy in his creations and teaching is centered around “fun.” He believes that things that are fun are most likely to evoke people’s childlike innocence and enhance audience experience through interactive behavior in interactive artworks. Recently, his main creative themes revolve around the ways of existence of living organisms in urban environments. Urban environments are primarily shaped by human existence, gradually expanding and encroaching on the existence of non-human organisms. His recent works explore how organisms can survive and coexist with humans in artificial environments.
